Steps to Flawless Beautiful Flawless Skin with Mineral Makeup.

Step #1 :    Swirl.  Take a small amount of the foundation and sprinkle it in the lid of the jar.  Remember natural minerals are very concentrated so a little goes a long way. Swirl the application brush around in the lid until the brush has absorbed all of the minerals.

Step #2:   Tap.  Gently tap the excess minerals from the brush. This will take away any excess minerals from the brush so that only a thin layer will be applied - giving you a natural look.

Step #3:   Buff.   The last step is to buff the minerals on your skin. To buff means to apply the minerals to your face in small circular patterns with the brush in an upward and outward motion.

Note:   After the foundation and concealer have been applied, use an even smaller amount for the more concentrated minerals like Warm Autumn and Soft Rose.  These minerals are all over face colors that brighten up your face and add a touch of color to your skin.  Only a little is needed.  Blush, Eyeliner & Liner Sets, and Eye shadows singles or (shadow 2pc, 3pc, or larger sets) complete your beautiful look.  Lastly, apply the Soft Silk translucent Mineral using steps 1-3.  The Soft Silk is a finishing mineral that will add softness to your sheer look for beautiful skin.  The mineral are not a powder even though it looks like a powder. If used as a powder, you will find that it will look shiny and thick.

Other Helpful Hints

Hint #1:   Before applying the foundation minerals (Foundation 3pc, 4pc, 6pc or 8pc Sets), use steps 1-3 for the concealer. With a small concealer Brush, use steps 1-3 to cover blemishes, dark circles and uneven tones in the skin. To rid the dark circles, uneven tones in the skin, please see Beauty Guides: Skin Basics and Beauty Guide: Acne Be Gone.  This creates a beautiful smooth and sheer finish for your face when the foundation is applied.

Hint #2: If you seem to keep getting a heavy powdered look, there are a couple of things you can do. First, try using less minerals on the brush at one time. You should not be able to see the minerals on the brush before you apply it to your skin. The natural minerals are buildable, meaning, you can always add another layer and then another if the coverage is not enough.  Secondly, your skin may need a good moisturizer before you apply the minerals. Make sure you let the moisturizer dry completely before you apply the minerals dry or it will not give you the sheer look that you want.  Thirdly, Make sure your skin is free from excess old skin. A good loofa or showering gloves will work just fine. See Beauty Guide: Exfoliation for more on this topic. Lastly, you can try applying the minerals wet. Take a few drops of water or your favorite lotion and add to the foundation and mix. Apply to the face and let dry. buff off excess with a cosmetic sponge. This can give you a beautiful powder free matte look.

Have fun experimenting with minerals and remember that natural mineral makeup is very versatile. Blushes can be used for shadows and shadows for blushes etc. Your creations with the minerals are endless!
